Please note we can no longer provide 'sit and wait' clinics at the surgery, please contact our reception to book an appointment
‘GP appointments are now available in your area during the evenings and at the weekend. To book an appointment, contact your practice.’
Most of our appointments are available to book in advance.
A standard appointment time is 10 minutes.
Multiple or complex problems may need further attendance.
You are free to see any doctor in the practice but we would encourage you to see the same person when possible for any on-going problems.
Urgent Medical Problems
If you feel your problem is urgent you will be offered a telephone or face-to-face appointment on the same day.
Practice Nurse Appointments
The practice nursing team provide appointments throughout the week for many conditions. The majority of appointments are available to book in advance with some slots reserved for urgent problems on the day.
They also run long term conditions clinics for asthma, diabetes, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and hypertension (raised blood pressure).
Reception will ask what you need an appointment for so they can allocate the correct amount of time for the problem. For example most chronic disease clinics are a 30 minute appointment and a blood test 10 minutes.
We also offer telephone consultations each day. If you feel your problem can be dealt with over the telephone please request this with the doctor whom you usually see.
If you would like a chaperone to be present for any examination please advise the nurse/doctor whom you are seeing and they will arrange for a trained chaperone to be present.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
